The Goblet

Over the past couple of years living at my parents I was introduced to the goblet. My dad has a belief that milk tastes better when it is drunk from a goblet. I think have not really found that to be true in my life, but when confronted with which type of glass should be purchased for my home I was overtaken by the goblet. My little sister gave me some brown tumblers for Christmas which I was unable to find a match, but I did find something that matched in color. Beauty! I don't know about milk, but I have realized that it does make water taste that much better.

Pho

Prior to moving to Minneapolis I had been exposed to many different ethnic foods, but I had never had Vietnamese. First day here I had a run in with Pho, which is a rice noodle soup and I found love. I now get cravings. The best part is that if I walk two blocks over I have at least four different options of where to get it....mmmm. I had some tonight. Total Satisfaction!

Pampering

I dedicated this past week to taking care of myself.  I had a difficult day earlier this week and felt remnants of it throughout the rest of the week.  Therefore I dedicated the rest of the week to taking care of myself.  I got my hair cut for the first time since moving to Minneapolis.  It is shorter than I had expected, but I like it.  I am getting a massage today.  I went to bed early multiple times this week. I even went to bed yesterday (Friday) at 7 pm. I have felt exhausted. I am feeling much better this morning. Yeah!

Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness

Three weeks ago I went to the Boundary Waters here in Minnesota and it was beautiful. I had a great time with three of my friends Natalie, Carrie, and Melissa. We went with a group of five other people and had a challenge of making it all work with different camping experience levels and personalities. I feel like my friends have eloquently stated/posted our thoughts about the trip. If you are interested in details check out Carrie and Natalie's blogs. Otherwise I am just going to post some pictures that were taken by my friend Melissa.

Pure Beauty!
We were able to utilize our knot tying skills. If I do say so myself I wasn't too shabby. Plus as a side note I really love my car, it is versatile.
A little alcove that we found on accident. It is easy to get lost!
I love lily pads!
Never met anyone more excited about tadpoles than Carrie, although I will agree that they were really cute.
Carrie and Natalie putting the canoe into the waters.
Checking the map to figure out where we were...important.
Life jackets under the fleece jacket could become a fashion statement.

New Chairs

I invested in some new chairs from Overstock.com. I am excited about them and hope that they are not too formal. I bought 2 of them for the front room. I am hoping that if I have chairs for people who come to visit that I might get some more company.
