Snow, Snow, Snow
This year we had a very long fall. In fact, it stayed warm so long that I thought my prayers were being answered. I kept praying that the winter would never come. Well, I did not pray hard enough because two weeks ago we had a major snow storm. For a couple of weeks I have been walking from the parking garage at work enjoying the view, which is a three story high pile of snow. The other night there were people snow boarding down the hill. Then, about two weeks ago they took that snow away by snowplow and truck.

New Calling
Well, some of you are aware and others are not, but this Sunday I got a new calling. There is something about my job that makes people believe that babysitting would be my cup of tea. So, what do I get to do.....THE NURSERY! In fact, the primary president was not aware that I was being called to this calling. It was all the bishops idea. I suppose that singing Ruldolph the Red-nosed Randier was not the smartest idea that I had.

Now a Believer
I felt myself coming down with a little cold starting on Wednesday. It was the tell-tell sign of the scratchy throat. It was bad when I woke up the next morning with a stuffed nose and the "crud" in the throat which has been going around at the hospital. For some reason I had NyQuil sitting around the apartment. Well, I used it at night and slept well. Because I was sleeping well I did not think twice about it, until the NyQuil ran out and the blizzard came in. I am not feeling awful and evil! Perhaps the evil part has kicked in because church was canceled and I gave in and went to the local pharmacy and got some liquid miracle on the Sabbath.

Santa Cows
I just wanted to announce that I am an adult now. I have my own copy of the family traditional story. I am reading it at the ward Christmas party this evening.

Nepal Day 17
This was the last day in Nepal. Natalie and I spent the morning shopping in the Thammel district of Kathmandu. Most of it was just as I had remembered. There were rickshaws everywhere. Although, Natalie and I were not accosted as often as I remembered. We were able to pick up some more amazing bakery goods.
The idea of putting all of that weight on one bike would never have come to my mind before. Natalie and I then headed to the airport, where we had never been "felt up" by some many people in my life. I was patted down at least 5 times before getting on the plane. They also checked out luggage multiple time. After making it out of Nepal we stopped in New Dehli, where Natalie and I were witnesses to a boycott of India Air. It was a little scary to say the least, but luckily we were flying Continental Airlines. We spent 3 lovely hours in limbo while getting our new tickets to get the airplane to the United States.
The best part of arriving home was that no snow was no where in sight when I arrived home to Minneapolis. In fact, it was 70 degrees for two days. Then the white fluffy stuff made it's first appearance. There are some things you just can't be too thankful for every day.
