Dangers of Baltimore.

The next vacation I went on was a to see Ann and Andrew in Baltimore. All I can say is that it was a good idea that I was there for just 6 inches of snow and not the next weekend.

As in all time spent with Ann there are a few highlights of the vacation that must be mentioned.

Hightlights

#1: REI Attic Sale. Ann and I roughed the cold, morning crowd and obtained some fabulous outdoor clothing articles. I love the two jackets that I got. I am also totally jealous of Ann's vest which can hid some amazing things in her armpits. The ideas that vest have given me are endless.

#2: Snow cancelled out Saturday plans, so we opted for the Baltimore Museum of Art. Unfortunately, they were also concerned about safety and were closing early, but Ann and I packed in a ton of fun.
70's beads were totally a hit.
What a hottie!
Precious.
This is my most favorite of the bunch. Ann just hit someone with the bead. It is a good thing she doesn't have them at home. Dangerous!
Ann has taught me the glories of the self portrait. Let's just say that security was keeping a close eye on us throughout our touring of the museum.
Yep another.
And another to prove there was snow.

#3: Birthday Dinner. I can't even remember the name of the restaurant, but the food was excellent. I ate wwwwaaayyyy too much and then I ate some more. We had a ton of fun!
I loved the lightbulbs!
Andrew's brother just chillin'.
Ann and Andrew.....oh how cute.
Claire and Brent.
In the snow outside, it was beautiful.

Sisters.

#4: Dancing. Dancing to top 40 music is sometimes the best thing that you can do for yourself, especially if there is someone there to appreciate it without. Replay-ay-ay.

#5: Under Armor at church. I am totally in love with the little Asian woman who conducts music in her classy church clothes with an under armor shirt on underneath. I loved that I could definitely see the insignia.

Thanks Ann and Andrew of the memories.

Tennessee

I am running behind as usual. I posted most of these photos on Facebook, but I know that not everyone checks out their page often. I visited Brent and Amber over Martin Luther Day. I was still pretty tired after the Christmas family chaos, but I still had a great time. Hopefully, the people I stayed with thought that the vacation went well.Elli is not really certain what she thinks about the photo opportunity. I love the little scab between the eyes....gives it a better sense of reality.
While I was in the beautiful Cumberland Gap I went for walks down the road from Amber and Brent's home. The rolling hills were breathtaking (even though it was still winter). I really enjoyed the farms and the animals that were all around. I can't think of many animals that I have seen while living here in Minnesota....perhaps I have not done enough exploring in the area.
Sammi and I went for a Sunday walk and we were rained on. It was one of my favorite parts of the vacation. I needed the fresh air and a friend who was just as excited about the "boy cows" as I was.
Amber took me through the local tunnel....I have already forgotten the name. Anyway, I was totally shocked to see the ice inside the tunnel when it was warm outside. It was almost like being inside a real cave.
I am always drawn to the old rickety barns that look like they might be close to their last leg.
I also loved this truck....I kept thinking about the movie Cars.
More ice....it was not even cold. Crazy!
My next home.
The railroad tracks next to the Passey Household.
Brent and my bad idea walk in which Sammi and Elli decided to argue about the sun-to-face ratio. Some good ideas die hard.
Still love the barns.
Mine and Sammi's favorite "boy cow."
My favorite picture of all...Sammi and I on our walk. The phone picture turned out pretty well.

While I was in Tennessee I was able to attend a Chili cook-off and decided that those people in the ward don't know how to judge chili....Brent and I knew what was up. I did have a good time though as I tasted all of the different chili. I definitely love everything with a kick.

We also did some awesome bowling. Even with the bumpers in place I am a terrible bowlers. Brent tells me that I should have skipped more of my high school classes and I could have improved my bowling skills. What was I thinking? Who needs an education when you "wow" others with your bowling form. I was totally in the dark about what my priorities should have been...maybe that it why I am still single? Gotta find the local bowling alley.

I also went to Kentucky. It was fabulous to visit the founding town of Methamphetamines (otherwise know as meth). I went to the Walmart and filled my need for white trash. Living her in Target-land had made me forget the wonders of Walmart. Such as, I wonder why it still exists? I wonder why people bring there children here at 2 am? I wonder why I wanted to come here in the first place?

It was fun Passey family. Hope to come again!

Home

I got home to Utah at about 1:30 this morning. All I can say is that if I am going to fly somewhere the likelihood that the plane will be delayed for some reason is about 95%. I suppose that makes me a poor partner for a vacation? Oh well, I always make it to the destination.

I need some serious vacation. I feel sick and tired.

Ode to the Airport

As I sit here in the airport for somewhere around the 100th time in my life I am left to contemplate.

1. Why did it take them so long to get new, more comfortable chairs in the SLC airport?
2. Why did they buy them once again with air rests between the seats? What about those poor souls who get stranded in the airport, can't leave those seats so people don't have to be on the nasty floor? I suppose the seats aren't that much better, but it has a better appeal to me.
3. Why do people use chewing tobacco? I just watched a 20 year old boy pop some in his mouth. Yuck!
4. Why do so many people complain about their flight being delayed and get sssooo upset? Do they think that it is going to make things go faster or smoother?
5. Being the fashion police that I am, where do some people get their outfits and haircuts? They make mine look ultra fabulous!
6. Someone is sitting across from me reading a book based on General Hospital. Where can I get me one of those? Do they have them based on Days of Our Lives or Passions? I sure hope so!
7. When I was going through security they took some scissors out of my first aid kit, that made it through the Minneapolis airport. They security guy asked my why I was defensive, was a professional smuggler? I am not sure how to answer that...I think that he was joking with me, but if I had said yes (jokingly) would they have hauled me somewhere? I didn't chance it and let him have the cheap scissors.

Vase

I finally have a vase for the front table. It felt a whole lot bigger while I was making it, but it actually looks rather small on the table. I still call it my "Monster Pot" though. I took this early in the morning, so it is difficult to tell that it is red and yellow.
